Giving Hearts Program 2024 Brings Joy to Over 100 Area Families for Christmas
The Friends of Coal Ladies Auxiliary Giving Hearts Program provides for families in need of a
little helping hand at Christmas and all through the year. Thirty-Seven (37) families with children
attending area schools from Clearfork, Marshfork, Mabscott, Liberty, Mullens, Ridgeview,
Stratton and Fairdale were given toys, pajamas, coats, and clothing for each child in the family.
FOCLA also supported seventeen (17) Military Families who have a loved one deployed serving
our great country. These families were from Charleston, Parkersburg, Kenna, Camp Dawson,
Fairmont, Clarksburg and Buchanan. All families were given two boxes of food plus two hams
and a turkey breast to enjoy for their holiday dinner. Every family also received a beautiful
Christmas flower arrangement donated by Flowers by Nancy. Gifts were made possible by
gracious donations from corporations and individuals as well as profits made from the sale of
merchandise through the FOCLA online store. If you would like more information about the
