The FOCLA has established a scholarship for students attending a four year college. The student must have a 3.0 grade point average or better at graduation, achieved a score of 20 or higher on the ACT or 1400 or higher on the SAT; and be able to demonstrate a financial need for the scholarship. Please attach the most recent transcript with this application. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the student must have a mother, father, step-mother, step-father, sister, brother, grandmother or grandfather who has been employed, is currently employed in a coal-related industry.
